Artist Statement: This elegant watercolor is a desert masterpiece that represents where I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the Carnation is the symbol of Ohio and the blue vase represents the blue of the Czechia flag and holds the water necessary to thriving in a harsh desert. The black border represents my generation now living in the United States. This painting is the mixing pot of old-world Czechia and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
