Artist Statement: The artist of all three submissions is a Colombian man in his late teens who stayed in Father HéctorTrejo Cano's San Matías shelter in Juarez for a period of several months. These paintings were a gift from this young man to Father Héctor as an expression of his gratitude to Father Héctor. The story behind this religious-themed submission is compelling but by circumstance lacks detail about the artist. He may have returned to Colombia or may have struck out on his own in Juarez. This painting is being used gratefully with Father Héctor's permission.
