RGBM Cycle of Prayer
This week the administration released the first report of its new
Reunification of Families Task Force. We are thankful for
the 1,786 families who have been reunited and pray for the 2,127
children who have no record of being reunited with their families
since separated at the U.S.-Mexico border by the previous
administration. Please pray for the work of the task force that is
committed to helping these families rebuild their lives.
We are praying for the organizations in Texas that are extending
Christlike welcome to migrant children in their care. Please
contact your lawmakers in Texas regarding the order Gov. Abbott
signed that will revoke childcare licenses from Texas-based non-
profit organizations that are currently partnering with the federal
government to provide care and housing for unaccompanied
migrant children. We pray your voices will be heard and that this
decision would be overturned.
As we pray for the migrants at our border and in our immigration
system, we want to continue to pray for the home countries that
they felt they needed to leave behind. We long to see the root
causes of migration addressed. We pray for solutions to the
violence, poverty, and corruption that cause so many to make the
dangerous trek to the U.S.
It is amazing that God allows us to be part of the good things he is
doing around the world. How will you love your neighbor this
week? What step can you take to show love to someone that
might feel like an outsider, forgotten, or cast aside?
