Learn
Pilgrimages to the Borderlands provide an up-close experience of how migrants and asylum seekers encounter the border between the US and Mexico. Pilgrims welcome and serve families as they enter the shelter. They meet officials and community leaders who serve the borderlands along the New Mexico, Texas Big Bend and the sister cities of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez.
SERVE
For a day or a week, your volunteer time is gratefully welcomed. You may serve on “shelter day”, the day we welcome groups needing a place to rest, regroup and make travel plans. Your help may include preparing meals, assisting with travel arrangements or simply being a welcoming presence. We also need help outside of shelter day to organize and maintain the space. Any form of service is met with deep gratitude.
Grow
Parish partnerships create bonds of support and prayer with parishes and communities around the country. Partners commit to working to provide borderland education, support advocacy initiatives, and lead fundraising efforts in local communities. Learn more below.
Introducing: RGBM Parish PArtnerships
RGBM partner parishes/organizations commit to working in collaboration with the RGBM leadership team to provide borderland education, support advocacy initiatives, and lead fundraising efforts in local communities.
In partnering with RGBM, parishes will make 3 commitments: Stewardship, Prayer, and Time
All partners will have the same opportunities and communications regardless of the level they pledge to give. We hope that parishes will discern what they are able to commit to. We are grateful for any level of support in prayer, stewardship, and time.
