RGBM Cycle of Prayer
We've been talking lately about unaccompanied minors and the opportunities with foster care. However, we know it's not always easy for families who say yes to this invitation to care for another's child.
God, we come to you today to lift up foster families, for the foster moms and dads sorting through paperwork, navigating countless details, and seeking to show welcome and care to children who have been through so much already. Give them strength, peace, and hope, Lord. You know every hiccup and challenge they are facing as they open their home to someone new. Please provide for them financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually as they walk this important journey. May their community surround them with love and support, and may they feel your closeness in their everyday lives.
We pray, too, God for foster siblings, figuring out a new arrival into their home, dinner table, and life rhythm. Help them to feel seen and cared for in the midst of change. Nurture their relationship with new foster siblings, and bless them as they join this journey with their parents.
Thank you, God, for families who are able to open their homes for those who need a safe place to stay. While the "issues" sometimes overwhelm us, we see you at work in the lives of everyday people who make space for others. Today, we lift up specifically, those serving through foster care. In your name, Amen.
